Theo Proctor of Tallahassee drove a seven passenger Oldsmobile Special from Atlanta to Tallahassee in 12 hours 16 minutes covering 3814 miles on Route 3. The journey set a new record between the two capitals and showcased Georgia Florida road progress. A motorcade sponsored by The Atlanta Journal is planned for December 14 15 with routes along Route No 3 expected to handle traffic after paving near Thomaston.
