The Golden Age Club will gather at 5 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Street YMCA for a covered-dish Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and trimmings. A musical program is planned as entertainment as the month ends.
The Thomasville Thomas County Planning Commission schedules a public hearing December 5 1972 at 2 30 PM in Municipal Building Thomasville GA to consider adding a Historical Zone to the Zoning Ordinance. Citizens may inspect the proposal at local bank lobbies and municipal offices and comment in person.
James Niemiec 18 is charged with manslaughter for the death of his best friend James Rusin after his car skidded into a canal. He saved three passengers including Gail Mikhiuk Michelle Forystek and Mariann Mylenek by escaping the sinking vehicle.
Pelham hosts the Tenth Annual Christmas Parade themed Holiday Cheer throughout the Year on Friday November 24 at 2 p.m. Local and visiting entries from Moultrie and Albany will join in with floats horses Santa and his sleigh. Congressman Dawson Mathis will ride as guest of honor along with bands from Pelham Mitchell County and Albany.

The Circle C Saddle Club of Coolidge will host a Sunday horse show starting at 1 p.m. at the club arena. Admission is free.
Soprano Cynthia Clarey, newest member of the New York Lyric Quartet, will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Municipal Auditorium under the Thomasville Entertainment Foundation. Clarey trained at Howard University and Juilliard, with solo work in Circle in the Square’s Trumpets of the Lord and The Magic Flute at Juilliard Opera Theater, and appearances with Greenwich Philharmonic and Juilliard Orchestra. Other quartet members: Cortez Franklin, Phyllis Bush, and Arthur Williams. TEF box office opens 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at CoCroft Music Co. Tickets $6. season seats $10, $12.50, $15.
