Two Injured In One Car Wreck At City Intersection
Police reported a single car accident yesterday at the Remington Avenue and Reed Street intersection left two people with minor lacerations. Patricia Ann Bryant 17 and Josephine Simmons 19, both of 228 S Mitchell, were passengers in Morrell Jackson 19 who was driving the car that skidded on a curve and turned sideways before the injuries were treated.

Minor Damages From Fires Across City
A clothes drying over a gas heater caused a small fire at 310 S Mitchell Street and minor damage. Firefighters also cleaned gasoline from a service station on Smith Avenue after a 30 gallon leak from a punctured tank. A cigarette hole in the floor at 525 Alexander Street caused little damage.

Escaped Convicts Snatch Purse Near Bakersfield
Three former Chino inmates stole a purse from a parked car in Bakersfield area. Mrs. Dehart chased the suspects for about an hour over rough roads, catching them 23 miles later at a service station with highway patrol aid.
