President elect Harding arrives at Point Isabel Texas for two weeks of rest after a long campaign. He plans fishing and golf daily with recreation the main activity during his South Texas stay. Nearby whispers of potential talks with Mexican officials arise but aides say such conferences are unlikely.
Supreme Court denied today the constitutional validity of Georgia's 1913 equalization act in a case arising from tax collection deeds on the estate of J. D. Morton of Brooks County. The decision sets aside the state supreme court decrees in the proceedings.
Washington on November 8 the Supreme Court reviews an injunction bid by Seaboard Air Line to bar the Interstate Commerce Commission from enforcing traffic regulations. Arnstein is ordered released by the Court, reversing a federal district court ruling, linking him to an alleged bond thief ring in New York.

Gastonia North Carolina authorities continue search for two unidentified Negro attackers after an auto hold up near the city. They shot and killed John Ford and assaulted two girls as they tried to drag them from the car. Ransom Killian was uninjured.
In Warsaw on Sunday, November 2, fighting resumed between Lithuanian troops and the Polish volunteer army led by Gen. Zeligouski. An official statement says Lithuanians attacked first as Polish forces sent light artillery and moved heavy guns into Lithuania by rail.
Washington DC November 8 The Supreme Court ruled that liquor lawfully acquired by a person for personal use may be stored in a place other than his home.
Jacksonville Florida November 8 police announced they were asked by Georgia authorities to locate Dr B F Elmor and Mrs Elmor widow of the late Fred D Shepard a Fort Valley Georgia peach grower. No charges were in the request. Shepard death is under investigation and Dr Elmor has not been found.
Washington reports the president will unveil his annual address on December 6 or the following day. He is expected to push Reconstruction measures and other recommendations from last year while receiving antiaMerican diplomats from Guatemala Costa Rica and San Domingo. London thinks US recognition of Mexico will lead to British recognition. Chile plans to recognize the Mexican government.
Washington dispatch says government departments under Democratic cabinet officers are drafting appropriation estimates for the first year of the new Republican administration. The work aims to present to Congress by December 6 with sharp changes expected in most items. Total estimates likely exceed four billions, reflecting a larger economy and postwar conditions compared with eight years ago.

Bodies of about 550 American soldiers who died in England will stay there permanently. Families requested the interment abroad, and Secretary Baker announced that a permanent cemetery near London will be under perpetual care and control of the American government.

Vera Cruz dispatch says striking stevedores and dock workers refused the Mexico City agreement reached with Huerta's provisional government. They call for a general strike to begin today, with railroad workers expected to back the action. Orders for a general strike have come from Mexico City.
In Indianapolis on November 8 the government asked to continue the case against soft coal miners and operators. Judge Anderson ordered an immediate inquiry into Attorney General Palmer's involvement to see if he hampered the case in court.
Federal Judge Morris ruled that the Coca Cola Company must furnish syrup to bottlers under a perpetual contract with The Parent Bottling Company. The decision, reported from Atlanta, confirms ongoing supply obligations according to counsel for both sides.
