Johnson Announces Bombing Halt in North Vietnam

President Johnson said all air naval and artillery bombardment of North Vietnam would cease at 8 00 a m Friday with Paris peace talks to enter a new phase next Wednesday. He cited North Vietnamese acceptance of U S terms and noted Saigon’s growing strength as a factor behind the decision.
