Detroit officials say they are willing to meet Centre College elevens in Boston on Thanksgiving Day after a Boston promoter inquiry. The proposed matchup would have the University of Detroit facing Centre College in a holiday clash.
The Reed soldier bonus amendment to the tax revision bill dominated the opening Senate debate. Senator New argued the amendment unconstitutional while proposing to table it, calling the move cowardly. Senator Reed accused Republicans of dodging the issue for big money interests as the bonus plan faced further scrutiny.
