Prices held at ceiling levels with Spanish quoted at 169 dollars per ton and runners at 154 dollars per ton on country point. Some F. O. B. per pound sales appeared: Spanish No 1 1444 cents and runners No 1 14 cents, No 2 around 14 cents. Early writing inks used lampblack mixed with glue or gum.
