Medical Auditing Checks Patient Care at Archbold Hospital
The hospital implements a retrospective medical audit program to ensure quality care. The Quality Review Subcommittee defines criteria for diagnoses and procedures, handles exceptions, and audits 100 records per study to compare against standards. Since start, 32 criterion sets exist, 18 audits completed covering about 1,500 cases.
