Nearly 20 local clubs sponsor the fourth annual Junior-Senior Student Night Jamboree at Thomasville High School inviting juniors and seniors to a long all night program at the Y.M.C.A. Activities start at 12 15 a.m with a hamburger hot dog spread and snacks served by volunteers from 17 clubs.
Several Thomasville residents were admitted to Archbold Memorial Hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday including Mrs. Julian Lassiter Mrs. Elmer I Yarbrough Mrs. Marlin L Benton Mrs. James M Hughes Mr. James Williams Jr and Mack A Willis Also admitted were Mrs Alvis Lee Scoggins and Thomas Daniel Chason of Ochlocknee Herman McMillan of Grand Ridge Fla John J Faircloth of Fla Clarence A Raiford of Meigs Mrs Robert B Dwyer Adel Mrs Samuel FE Streetman and Isaac P Hallman of Tifton and 10 year old Edward Mari Wilson of Barwick A Mother's Day dance will feature Dee Hughes and his orchestra Saturday at the Thomasville Elks home from 9 pm to 1 am The event opens a new social calendar under Fred Norris and the Lodge entertain ment committee 8 S Sgt William J McGlaughlin of Fort Dix N J is on a two week leave visiting in Thomasville at 616 East Jackson St Dr and Mrs William A Ball and their son Steven moved into their new home at 1213 Remington Avenue Mr and Mrs L O Willis returned from an insurance convention in Hollywood Fla with Mrs Pearl G Smith of Pavo Also Thomasville Scouts joined over 1 000 Explorers at Rock Eagle 4 H Club Center Region 6 conference Leaders Lee Walden Dan Redd M E Attaway accompanied the Thomasville participants John Covington Keith Culpepper Fred Godwin Richard Isey Dan Redd Jeff Sewell and Edwin Simmons Dan Redd led the group Jeff Sewell of Post 306 received an award for archery and Scout Sewell participated in the events.
Three Thomasvillians joined the Albany Council of the Telephone Ines Bisie Chapter as officers. Casper Wallis was named Council president with Stroud as foreman. Local delegates at the Jekyll Island conventions included Wallis Stroud Polly Thomas and Mr and Mrs Brock. The organization now lists over 200000 members with at least 21 years in the telephone business.
Thomas County HD Council schedules a Friday session at 2 30 pm in the Health Department auditorium to nominate voting delegates and select hostesses for HD members. Je Genith, the HD agent, announces plans for the meeting and for the annual choral event.
Norma Ann Buchanan married Willie Ashburn Roberts in a May ceremony at St. Pauls Lutheran Church Massillon Ohio. The couple's families attended and a wedding supper followed. The bride, a noted pageant winner, is from Elk Park North Carolina and the groom hails from Thomasville Georgia. They plan to reside in Thomasville after a honeymoon in Highlands North Carolina.

Principal Erskine Mills introduces seniors who discuss teen behavior, delinquency links to classroom life, discipline on dating, and calls for stronger school spirit and expanded social studies and family living courses.
Thomasville Study Class plans a noon Friday recital at the Thomasville High School auditorium. Aimed at students with public invitation, the duo piano concert features five performers and a mix of duets trios and quartets including Czardas Malaguena and Trepak.
Flor ida daylily enthusiasts from Georgia Alabama and Florida gather in Tampa May 11 12 and 13 for the Hemerocallis Holiday sponsored by the Florida Region of the American Hemerocallis Society. Mrs John D Hammer chairs the event and will lead show awards banquet and meetings. Entries accepted May 12 8 to 11 a m at Inter bay Community Center. Guest speaker Mrs Guy Rice of Valdosta will discuss what the society means to entrants.
