Bainbridge Georgia May 9 Fourteen 4-H Club members who won premiums on raising fat calves will be honored by the Bainbridge Decatur County Chamber of Commerce. The group will lunch May 10 at Gilbert Hotel and receive cash prizes for the feeding out program broadcast on WMGR. After lunch the youths will attend a showing of Bill Bailey and His Four Pillars of Income at the Decatur County Court House.
Bainbridge Ga May 9 Ted Weems and his nationally known orchestra will play for a dance in Bainbridge on Saturday May 24. The event at Club Lynn Haven follows Gunn Motor Company’s new building opening and promises one of the largest dances in the area. Tickets are $2.50 per person and go on sale soon.
Bainbridge Ga May 9 Inter-Fraternity Council at Mercer University Maton recently elected Charles Tennille son of Mr and Mrs Lucius Tennille of this city president of the organization for the ensuing year. He is a Junnior Class member and the Kappa Alpha social fraternity and studies Business Administration.
Mr and Mrs Ray Yates observed their silver wedding anniversary with an informal open house at their Bainbridge Georgia home on Anderson Street. The event featured flower decorations tapers and a Chantilly lace tablecloth centerpiece with sweet peas and calendulas. Guests included Mayor J W Cox and several local couples. Out of town visitors were Dr and Mrs W H Terry and Miss Betty Terry of Thomasville.

Bainbridge Ga May 9 Post No 62 American Legion holds an installation service at the Legion Home Tuesday night May 13 starting at eight oclock. Newly elected officers will be installed and a turkey dinner is planned with Stanley Jones Department Adjutant of the Legion attending.
