In Donalsonville Georgia county agent W C Rushing says 143 4 H Club members will pledge to grow food for soldiers. The project aligns with 102000 other 4 H members across Georgia and outlines specific meat egg and potato targets to support the war effort.
Mrs Julian Hickson entertained at her Donalsonville home in honor of Lieut Inez Roberts Goodner of Des Moines Iowa WAACs. Spring flowers graced the rooms and a congealed salad plate with Coca Colas was served. Bingo awarded Lieut Goodner with a prize and candy was given as guest prize. Attending were Mesdames M P Stein W E Brigham Ben Griffin Harold Newton and Misses Dell Minter Nell Wheeler Donielle Aspinwall and Billie Cannington.

Mrs Snipe returns to Ellaville. Lieut Goodner leaves for Des Moines after a far. Bonifay and Graceville hosts. several women travel to Columbia SC. Amos Dickenson heads to Williamsburg VA to join Navy construction for two years. Mrs Chason hosts Elizabeth Dembke in Donalsonville. Gilbert Gellimore returns home on Navy leave.

Richmond stress story reports Dr. Virgil P. Sydenstricker of the University of Georgia School of Medicine in Augusta stating food rationing in the United States could improve the eating habits of as much as half the population. He spoke after returning from England.
Sydenstricker argued wartime nutrition work shows sugar fat and meat limits will improve the national diet as healthier fruits and vegetables fill the table. He added the home garden habit born of war needs could persist after the war, benefiting public health.
Laundries and theaters on the 17 state eastern shortage area will see eased fuel oil restrictions next week as orders cutting commercial and industrial non heating use expire April 1. The measures reduced allotments by 40 percent during January February and March amid a still serious supply situation.
Price Administrator Prentiss M. Brown says ration allotments cut by the order will be restored to original levels when renewed. If the affected consumer’s allotment expires before April 1, local ration boards will increase the portion issued between April 1 and the expiration date to the original level.
