D.A.R. Good Citizen Award Winners Named in Three Schools

Mrs. L. P. Wallace announced the D.A.R. good citizen awards recognizing three high school students selected for dependability leadership service and patriotism. Thomasville High School winner Jane Allison Milligan, Central winner Shirley NeSmith, and Vashti student Mary Louise Kitchens hold the honors with certificates and pins from the Thom asville Chapter.

Dance Planned Saturday At Glen Arven Club

Glen Arven Country Club hosts an informal Biss Saturday with the Collegians from Adelosta led by Babe Youmans. Manager Bob McQuarrie says dinner is served 6 30 to 10 p m and dancing classes are popular with an open invitation for nonattenders to join Friday at 8 p m signaling the start of the sessions.

Birdwood Evening Class Meet Sets Spring Quarter Plans

A special Birdwood College meeting for adults planning spring quarter classes is set for 7 30 pm Thursday in the administration lobby. Dean Annie Mae Powell will lead the session to map evening offerings as the quarter begins Monday March 20.

Credit Women's Club To Install Officers in Thomansville

The newly formed Thomansville Credit Women's Club will install officers Thursday at 8 p.m. at Legion Post 31. Mrs. Ollie Whiddon of Thomasville will serve as president for the first year. Miss Joyce Skanda mis will conduct the installation with Miss Gay Ster as keynote speaker. The initial board includes Mrs. Dorothy Jackson and others, with charter members listed and dues set at 10 dollars for Credit Bureau member firms. Reservations offered via Box 541 or Thom asville Credit Bureau office.

American Ballet Theatre Delights Thomasville Crowd

An enthusiastic Thomasville audience welcomed American Ballet Theatre for four works. Star turns by Lupe Serrano and John Kriza highlighted the program with polished modern ballet and pas de deux. Forsaking crowd size, the troupe delivered vivid technique and promising young talent across Theme and Variations, Billy the Kid, and Graduation Ball.

Square Ice Set to Open Friday at Hope Community Club

The Hope Community Club hosts a Friday evening event with 4 H members at 8 p.m. George Newtson's orchestra will perform 84 short tunes. Vick and Neeley Reid will provide refreshments with proceeds benefiting the club project. A light repast will be served.
