In 1950 Guilfoil and about 60 paraplegics formed Paraplegics Manufacturing Co in Franklin Park to self employ. The factory assembles mechanical electrical and electronic parts and now employs about 100 workers most in wheel chairs. The firm profits in all years except 1964 and 1955 and aims for one million in sales by year end.
