Athens Georgia June 22 Cy A Seriey of meetings toward organizing Georgia cooperation in the Wallace plan to boost cotton prices and cut acreage started in various sections of the state today. Foundations for a campaign to acquaint farmers with details of the program a 10 000 000 acre curtailment in which Georgia's allotment is 934 0 acres were laid at a meeting of agricultural and allied interests here yesterday. Director J Phil Campbell of the Georgia agricultural extension service met with various agencies and a pin was agreed upon whereby farmers will receive full details of the reduction plan at meetings beginning next Monday. Meanwhile meetings of agricultural leaders were planned today in Rome Atlanta Athens Thomson Lyon Douglas Perry Albany and Washington with discussion of the plan of dissemination of information about the plan to farmers in view. County agents home demonstration agents and others were asked to meet to cooperate.
