A Black man who attacked Mr Powell and attempted robbery was captured Tuesday near the Powell home after a chase from his barbed wire fence attempt. He matched the description given by Powell, had worked at Mr P J McCollum's mill, and reportedly wore a torn suit last night. Prior to the incident he had been released from a gang and had applied for work with Powell.
New witnesses arrive in Poughkeepsie New York as the Stillman divorce trial continues. Testimony centers on the relation between Mrs Stillman and Fred Beauvais a co respondent. Three persons arrive from Canada and are expected to testify this afternoon about events at a camp near Three Rivers Quebec.
