Identified dead is Lester Avant of Columbus, Ga. injured are T. W. Tyler of Columbus and Malcolm Mercer of Albany. Earlier reports mixed names.

Miss Bradshaw offered her car to anyone who could drive it 40 miles. Police Officer Harry Witt borrowed the car and took a ride at 43 mph. Motorcycle Officer Wesley Brown Jr tracked the car at 46 mph and made the first bid to buy Witt’s new automobile once the owner fulfills the promise.
