Moultrie Georgia July 18 Mr E J Walker of Pavo Ga died Wednesday July 16 at his residence after a three week illness. Funeral services were held at Ione Methodist Church with Rev Long and Rev J H Hobbs officiating. Interment Lebanon Cemetery Pavo. He was born 1876 in Metcalfe Ga and survived by his wife four sons J Walker of Valdosta G F C G T and B A Walker of Pavo four daughters Mrs J C Harrell of Coolidge Mrs O R Herndon of Pavo Mrs W R Sloan of Pavo and Miss Ophelia Walker of Pavo six grandchildren. Funeral home Greene Gregory in charge.
The Pine Forest Baptist Church on Lake Douglas road, seven and a half miles from Bainbridge, opens a revival Sunday led by Rev. J. W. McCorvey with guest speaker Rev. W. D. Whidden of Coolidge. Services are held morning and evening daily. all are invited.
Valdosta Georgia July 18 Harrington Russell of Atlanta will produce the Valdosta and Lowndes County Forest Festival pageant set for October 9. The festival committee approved the contract, promising a multi episode panorama of the Pines and a large cast. The pageant will culminate in a parade and dedication with national speakers.
Revival services will begin at Bethel Baptist Church on the old Colquett Road in Ballbridge, Georgia, starting July 20. Pastor Reverend B. T. Barksdale to lead daily prayers at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Visiting minister Reverend J. H. Christie of St. Andrews, Florida, to speak.
