Alabama moved toward repeal of the eighteenth amendment with about two thirds of the vote counted. With 1,676 of 2,137 boxes reporting, repeal led 89,519 to 58,746 and four state constitutional amendments were ratified, including an income tax and a $20,000,000 wartime warrant issue.
