Plymouth Driver Completes 100 Hour Non-Stop Run

Jack Derby known as Dare Devil ends a 100 hour non stop drive in a Plymouth Six Sedan. He is hauled from the car in Moultrie after 106 hours and is treated for exhaustion. Officials report the car covered 2726.8 miles with 174 gallons of gas and minimal oil and water use.

Yeomans clarifies registration rule for state voters

A 1934 guidance from M. J. Yeomans clarifies that once a voter registers with the tax collector and takes the oath, they remain registered even if later disqualified for non payment of taxes. Disqualified names are removed from the list, but paying poll taxes six months before a future election restores eligibility without re registering. If voters paid by May 5, 1934, but were left off the list, add them via a supplemental list.

Bank Robbery Suspect Jackson Identified by Cashier

Sheriff Gordon E. Davis reports no definite developments yet in the Pavo Bank robbery case. Jackson, one of five arrests, was positively identified by the bank cashier as among the two men who entered the bank Friday around two o clock.

Mrs Lena Stephens Mauldin Buried In Boston

Funeral services for Mrs Lena Stephens Mauldin were held at the Baptist church in Boston on Sunday at 10 a.m. She died in Atlanta Friday night after a long illness and was 59. Interment followed at Boston cemetery. She was the daughter of T T Stephens and Mary Powell Stephens and survived by her husband T S Mauldin.

Car Hits Family. Brinson Severely Injured En Route

Mr Otis Brinson brought to hospital from Ochlocknee with a compound fracture of the lower leg. The accident occurred while he was walking with his wife and child and his brother when struck by a car. The car stopped and provided aid to the wounded man.

Sharon, July 9. Mary Liptak, 14, reported kidnapped, was found by police on a street corner near her home. She said two men forced her into a car last night, drove across the Ohio line, attacked her, and returned her to Sharon early today.
