Sir David Yule an English merchant famed as Britains wealthiest man dies at St Albans. He reportedly held a fortune estimated at 55 million dollars and was little known to the public. The death occurred in St Albans England on July 4.
A prominent Indian merchant and banking director, worth £11 million, died last night in Calcutta. He led a modest life away from public view, spending much time in India. His public prominence began in 1926 when he helped form a group to buy Lloyd George’s Daily Chronicle.
