Georgia dedicates first naval hospital in Dublin

Dublin Georgia hosts naval and civilian dignitaries for the dedication of the state’s first large naval hospital a 5 million dollar facility with 500 beds ready for navy war wounded and capacity for 1500 patients. The Donalsonville Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. D. F. Wurst on Friday afternoon with Camellias and narcissi decorating the reception rooms. Mrs. Wurst was assisted by Mesdames Earl Wilson and J. B. Thomas. Miss Lillie Seale reported library updates and note nine of the year’s top fifteen best sellers are on the local shelves.
