Weather clears across the southeast permitting dozens of Army fliers to resume their flight to the Miami air races. Brigadier General Charles H. Danforth and other crews depart from Albany and Montgomery toward Miami as Tall ahasse e and Savannah entries follow the clear route. The Miami program, extended to Sunday, aims to accommodate more than 100 delayed fliers.
Mrs A S Harwell, 64, of Covington Georgia and former matron of the Georgia State College for Women at Milledgeville, died in a private hospital in Atlanta after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements were not listed.

The Macon Georgia druggist Palmer was killed New Year's Eve after a gun battle with two robbers. A county grand jury will hear evidence in January as four men including C D Gason Cecil James Frank Moulton and Jimmy Milligan are named suspects. Several women witnesses are listed in the inquest records.
Funeral services were planned in Covington today with burial in Eatonton, officials said.
Urban Lafayette Gregory 40, longtime Athens businessman now of Atlanta since 1919, was found dead in his bed. He is survived by his widow, father, two brothers and five sisters. Also noted: half a million trout eggs have been placed in Vancouver Island waters recently.
