Meigs Ga January news notes the death of John M Wilkes a former resident who farmed locally and later lived in Thomasville before moving to Moultrie. He died Friday after intestinal flu led to a heart attack at 6 15 AM. Interment planned at Meigs Sunset Cemetery. Survived by wife Loretta Merchant Wilkes five sons two daughters a brother three sisters and many grandchildren and nephews.
