Bainbridge Georgia February 29 Mrs Harry Chalfant Civilian Defense office announces prizes offered this spring by local stores and the Bainbridge Garden Club for flower beds and victory gardens. A seed store offers 10 dollars for prettiest zinnia bed and one dollar for best victory garden with another prize for second best. Two prizes are offered by the Bainbridge Garden Club for the construction of bird houses by city boys.
Bainbridge Ga Feb 29 R A Griffin Decatur County chairman of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis announced that Decatur County raised 2127 82 during the recent Polio drive. Ritz Theatre patrons and staff contributed 600 26 Bainbridge Army Air Field personnel gave 617 93 and county wide gifts totaled 927 30.
