Officer Martin made two arrests yesterday. Will Hall was caught stealing from Lee Neel and Bro's. Charley Mecer, wanted in Waycross for larceny, was also jailed. Both suspects are in custody.

Thomasville Georgia February 15 1901 Members of the Country Club of Thomasville receive a general update on improvements to waterworks golf course and pavilion. Changes include a two thousand gallon water tank a dam on Monticello road upgraded plumbing a heated engine and new cesspool. Dues have been raised to stabilize finances while a stockholder meeting next Monday will discuss purchasing the club grounds and bond financing.
Sunday afternoon Rev. G. S. Whitney of St Thomas Church found the alms box near the door broken and robbed. The amount missing is unknown but several morning contributions were taken, indicating a low act by the thief.
Mr L Steyerman left Sunday morning for New York where he goes to buy spring and summer goods. Joe Goldberg has gone to New York to buy goods.
Col. R. L. Shipp of Moultrie was in town yesterday.
The sixth annual stockholders meeting in Thomasville elected four governors to three year terms including J. Drake B. H. Wright H. W. Hopkins and Justus C. Strawbridge all reappointed. Board officers named Chas. Hebard president Wm. Hammond vice president H. W. Hopkins secretary and B. H. Wright treasurer. Funds and option purchase notes discussed with $15 000 price and $10 500 already raised. A dispute over a prize awarded to Charley Cooper Jr. is resolved with Stephens Plant System agent. A private institute program and ages of presidents comparison article conclude the report.
Burglary at the Fairview home of Mr. E Y Mc Cullough occurred Friday evening. A hungry intruder, described as a negro, focused on the pantry stealing eatables and rifling a boarder’s clothing for a small sum of money. He fled when discovered by occupants, leaving little description behind.
Bossy Lumpkin, an African American youth, pleaded guilty to pocketbook snatching in county court. Judge Rod Denberg sentenced him to eleven months and fifteen days on the chain gang.
Baltimore couple Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Whitmore entertained a roomful of friends with a seven-handed euchre party at the Mitchell House on Friday evening February 16. Miss Gardner of New Haven won first prize, Mr. A J Spiglemire of Brad dock Pa won the gentleman's first prize, and Mr. Laurence of Sing Sing N Y took the consolation prize. Refreshments followed. Participants included Miss Norcross, Mr. and Mrs. Benj Bayne, Miss Bayne, Mr. and Mrs. Spiglemire, Miss Gardner, Mrs. Newell, Mr. Laurence, Mr. Taylor, Miss Meadowcraft, Miss Van Wyck, Mrs. Maj J D Knight, and Mr. Carrigon.
Mrs John W Flynt of Bellows Falls Vermont hosted an elegant buffet luncheon at the Country Club on Friday. Guests enjoyed a superb menu and refined service followed by a golf game with handsome prizes. Horace Thompson won the gentlemen's first prize and Hamilton Vose the second. Mrs Horace Thompson took the ladies first prize and Mrs Lightner the second.

The gathering celebrated winter residents staying in Thomasville with broad participation from across the country and featured Mrs. Schwartz admired as a gracious entertainer.

Washington February 14 The Presbyterian committee reports on Westminster Confession revision outline two possible supplemental explanations to doctrine for the General Assembly.
