Charley Thompson of St Paul shows off a bamboo bicycle at the Piney Woods Hotel weighing 18 pounds and described as the handsomest cycle yet seen in Thomasville.
Two African American defendants sent from Meigs County faced misdemeanor charges in county court. The youngest pleaded guilty to larceny and was fined twenty dollars plus costs or two months in jail. The other pleaded guilty to receiving stolen goods and received forty dollars plus costs or four months.

Marshal Spair arrested fourteen year old Lessie Wingate on larceny charges from a house. The girl admitted stealing about eight dollars, three recovered, and was before Judge Alexander who fined her twenty five dollars or two months in jail. She may stay at the hotel Doss for the winter.
Mrs. Witherton who lost her home in a recent blaze on lower Madison Street has moved into the residence formerly occupied by Mr. Frank Cochran next to the Stuart house. Spence and Wilson of Ochlocknee were arrested earlier by Deputy U S Marshal Hurst for selling intoxicating liquor in violation of federal laws and were given a hearing before Judge Speer in Savannah on Thursday and discharged.
Dr Harvey Moore of Atlanta a specialist in eye ear nose and throat treatments departed Masury Hotel after a two week visit. He had a large local practice with many friends and pending plans to visit again.
A late morning blaze in a Kitchen at the Lebbens Dekle residence on lower Madison Street destroyed the house before firemen reached the scene. Mrs. Witherington saved most belongings but lacked insurance. the home carried 1000 dollars of London Liverpool and Globe coverage. The origin remains undetermined.
