A $300 appropriation was made to improve the two ete at entrances to grounds and $250 was set aside for upkeep of hives and grounds. Officers were re elected: Chas S H bard president W M Hawmond vice president H W lopkin secretary and B A Wright treasurer R W W Houghton elected auditor. Unanimous vote of thanks to officers. The club is on a solid and prosperous basis.
Groton Mass February 13 President Roosevelt reports Theodore Roosevelt Jr ill at Groton School has improved with rapid gains and is now out of the woods. The President prepares to depart for Washington this afternoon easing public concern and lifting a burden from his mind.
Mrs. Hostetter of Pittsburg wintering with her son Theo Hostetter and family at the Piney Woods Hotel had a fall while attempting to enter her carriage. She sustained a severe fracture to the right arm over the shoulder. Dr. Bradley attended and she rested comfortably that night.
Fire department responded last evening at seven to a reported fire at Mrs Dalla Taylors residence on Dawson and Jackson streets. A water line was laid from a hydrant opposite the market to the home but the alarm proved to be caused by sparking from a chimney.
