Death Claims John F. Lamb After Long Illness
John Frances Lamb Sr a longtime Thomasville resident died at his Bartow street home at 12 40 pm after years of illness. He was born in Jasper Fla on October 7 1856 and worked with the Atlantic Coast Line railroad before retiring to contract work. Funeral services are set for tomorrow at four o clock from his residence with Rev T F Callaway officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill cemetery. Survivors include his widow three children and several relatives including nieces and nephews. The community mourns a respected railroad man and devoted husband and father.

Victims of Negro Assassin in Critical Condition
Atlanta, Feb 20. Sam H Henderson and his baby Sam Jr remained in critical condition after a negro shot and killed Mrs Henderson early yesterday. Neighbors and officers found Mrs Henderson dead from a gunshot wound and the husband gravely injured.
