Fire Scare Alarms 25 Children Here
A morning scare at the Thomas County Mentally Retarded Training Center alarmed about 25 children when a flooded heater and smoke were found in the building. No one was hurt and officials reported only excitement from the incident. Earlier a fireplace fire at a private home and a vehicle fire on Moultrie Road caused minor damage.
