He intercepted and destroyed enemy aircraft, sending them to the sea.
Athens Ga Feb 6 AP The Georgia Crop Improvement Association announced the election of L L Patten of Lakeland as president for 1947 Directors also elected E V Komarek Thomasville as vice president and three others R G Wages Hartwell W Graham Burch Fayetteville and W B Sexton Byron to three year terms Nine new varieties of seed certification were placed among the commission actions along with three more crops approved for certification.
