Donalsonville February 6. Vacancy created by the death of Judge G. B. Garwood Ordinary for thirteen years Seminole County calls an election to nominate a candidate for ordinary to be held February 18. Candidates must qualify by February 9. Voters list to be used combines last election list with new qualifiers up to noon February.
Donalsonville Web notes the Lions Club inviting former members to rejoin and participate in upcoming events. The notice highlights alumni engagement and club activities in the community.
A local club notes returning veterans as members and reports several new additions since year start bringing total membership to 50.
Carroll Howard resumed his duties as postal clerk at the Donalsonville post office on February 4 after six years in the U S Army. A Donalsonville native, he previously worked in postal service and served in the European Theater of Operations before his discharge. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Joseph P Howard.
Mrs. Ernest J. Greene of Iron City announces the engagement of their daughter Anne Campbell of Albany to First Lieutenant Thomas T. Williams of Turner Field. The couple plan marriage in Iron City in March. Anne attended Georgia State College for Women and sang in the Capella Choir.
