Mr J L Beverly secured the lumber contract for Mr S W Mays compress with an estimated three hundred thousand feet. A new Tifton to Moultrie train runs 10 80 a m to 4 30 p m with good engines and coaches. Dr White delivered a fine sermon at the Baptist church drawing local attendance.
At a recens meeting in Thomasville Georgia the Presbyterian church adopted unanimous resolutions on the death of Col A T Macintyre who served 34 years as a member and 16 years on the session. The remarks praise his faithful eldership and aid to widows and orphans. A copy of the resolutions is to be spread upon church records and shared with the family and local papers.
Major Dunham retires as superintendent of the Plant System effective February 1. W B Denham is named his successor, bringing expected stable leadership with no anticipated changes in policy. The Plant System faces international unrest with scattered peace in the Philippines.
