Capt Platt Dead From Natural Causes At Home
Capt. W. P. Platt, a well known citizen, died at his home two miles from town at 10 o clock on Saturday night. He was 72, northern by birth but long resident in the south, held in high esteem. The funeral was held yesterday morning with Rev. O. B. Chester officiating. A devoted Mason, he was buried with Masonic honors. pallbearers were S. Sampson, W. S. Keefer, Roscoe Luke, J. H. Davidson, H. B. Mansfield and W. C. Snodgrass. Interment in Laurel Hill cemetery.
