In Marlin Texas five bank hostages escaped from robbers after looting the Marlin First State Bank of 41000. The captives included vice president M. W. Bradshaw bookkeeper Miss Andrew Peyton and porter Lee Humphries. Two hunters Jack Davis and Lee Davis were later captured and the robbers fled. The hostages untied themselves after about an hour.
