Athens Ga December 20 AP Farmers learn tips from Huey Forrester of Fannin County who yielded 158 bushels per acre to win the 1948 state 4-H championship. He kept the acre in Lespedera two years and left the soil rich. He used Tennessee 10 hybrid in 15 inch drills with 3.5 foot row spacing. Forrester applied 400 pounds of 8-4 fertilizer and 200 pounds of ammonium nitrate.
