The Bainbridge Garden Club sponsors the second annual Holiday House Tour on Tuesday December 17 from 3 to 6 30 PM and 7 30 PM to 10 PM Tickets cost 1 each and may be bought in advance or at tour homes Guests may visit homes in any order A tea by the Talisman Circle will be served at Simmons Parlor First Methodist Church School Building during tour hours Florists will display holiday arrangements Homes include the Griffin Greene Penhallegos and Perry residences with themes Star Light Star Bright Old Southern Christmas Magnolia Christmas and A Victorian Christmas

Scouts Sing Christmas Carols Thursday Night
Five Girl Scouts and Brownies from the Thomasville area will sing Christmas carols on the steps of the First Baptist Church Thursday at 7 30 p m. The groups gather at the Youth Center at 6 30 p m and march to the church where they will sing. Mrs Clyde Norwood directs the scouts. Mrs R E Pierson directs a Christmas pageant with two cast rehearsed for the skit. After the caroling and pageant the scouts return to the Youth Center for refreshments.

Cantata at First Methodist Evening Service
The First Methodist Church presented The First Christmas Night cantata by the junior choir during Sunday worship. Part I featured While Shepherds Through the Quiet Night There God Sent An Angel and Shepherds Why This Jubilee with Lee Yarbrough as soloist and The Friendly Beasts with Ethel Rae Hatfield Marion Monroe and others singing. Part II included Joseph Dearest Joseph Mild Sleep Of The Child Jesus and Joy To The World with Gayle Van Landingham and Lee Yarbrough soloists Kent Hill played the organ. Hymns opened the service with O Little Town Of Bethlehem It Came Upon The Midnight Clear. Reverend Weyman R. Cleveland gave the invocation and benediction.

Christmas cantata fills Dawson Street Methodist Church
A capacity audience attended The Christmas Song of Songs at Dawson Street Methodist Church. The program included Praise Be To God, In A Manger, There were Shepherds, Glory To God, There Came Wise Men, Where Is He, Incense Myrh and Gold, and We Have Seen His Star. Edith Dixon played organ, Iris Carroll piano, Rev. C C Edmondson opened with prayer, and the junior and intermediate choirs performed There’s A Song In The Air and Silent Night Holy Night.

The Junior Woman's Club sponsors a Yuletide decorations contest with Xmas bells marking first second and third place in each class. The Home and Fine Arts departments coordinate entries due by Dec 21 with joint chairmen Mrs J E Sanders and Mrs Glenn Alred. Classes include doorways picture windows outdoor trees religious and miscellaneous. Out of town judges will view entries on the evening of Dec 23.
