The Army and Navy Laggard on Air Power Says House Report
A House special committee report criticizes the army and navy for being backward on air power, cites shortages of personnel and equipment, and urges creation of a national defense department with aviation funding. It endorses expanding aviation roles, commercial aviation support, and notes air power as essential to defense. The probe also discusses Mitchell’s defense and contrasts with air board views.
