In Travemuende Luebeck Germany on August 8 a 15 ton Rohrbach Romar flying boat completed trial tests in the bay. Piloted by Hermann Steindorff the craft with three 720 horsepower engines circled at 600 feet then flew an hour over the Baltic before landing back. Its action radius reaches about 2500 miles, exceeding Ireland to Newfoundland distance.
