Johnson Expected to Arrive in Columbus

Columbus Ga August 5 federal prohibition agent Johnson Jr. was indicted for murder in the slaying of Ray Rodgers 20 and was expected to surrender in Columbus after informing Sheriff Layfield by phone he would return today Rodgers death he says was accidental in a struggle when he accosted the youth delivering liquor to an undercover man the murder warrant was dismissed at a preliminary hearing but Johnson was indicted yesterday by the county grand jury.
