The Rev. R E Courtney presided at the Dawson Street Baptist Church wedding of Jo Ann Griffin and Wade Banks attended by close relatives. Judy Banks served as maid of honor with lavender gown, bright accessories, and a pink carnation bouquet. The couple left for Cocoa Beach Florida where the groom is stationed at Patrick Air Force Base.

Junior Beta Club Inducts 38 Members At Middle School
In a candlelight ceremony at Douglass Middle School thirty eight students were inducted into the National Junior Beta Club. Eighth grade members led the program presenting the clubs cardinal principles including Honesty Responsibility Achievement Vision Enthusiasm Sincerity and Tolerance. Presidents and officers introduced the pledge and sponsorship was provided by Mrs. M. H. Melver and Mrs. B. G. Rhodes.
