Austin, April 27. Texas moves to bar Florida citrus fruit imports. State Commissioner of Agriculture George G. Terrell said he is preparing a quarantine proclamation to supplement the federal measure against the Mediterranean fruit fly.

General Saturnino Cedillo announced that central Mexico forces defeated about 1500 Cristeros at Tepatitlan Jalisco after four days of battle. He reported 150 rebels killed and 20 captured executed, 1000 plus wounded rebels, while federal losses were 39 dead and 39 wounded. Federal troops retook the city on the fourth day with reinforcements.

Three Missionaries Slain in China Reported

Georgia Senators Seek Funds for Tornado Victims

Chapman Lines to Start Transatlantic Airliner Service

New York April 27. Paul W. Chapman head of United States Lines announced the company will shortly inaugurate a trans Atlantic airliner service tied to its shipping business. The passenger plane built for Chapman by Vincent Burnelli has a 90 foot wingspan and carries 1000 gallons of fuel. It weighs 8700 pounds and seats twenty passengers with 45 pounds baggage each.
