Georgia all yes except Wood who did not vote. Additional votes on supplemental National Defense Appropriation bill 3 198 100 000 for 12 group Air Force. Also notes farm accidents from leaving tools.
Ochlochnee tops the Second District Literary Contest with 83 points led by first places in the One Act Play and Debates. Arlington places second, Morgan third, Edison fourth, with Meigs and Damascus also scoring as events unfolded across April.
In Abbeville Georgia a jury will decide if the town may sell part of its public square for 3 300 to fund a 20 000 bus terminal and other businesses. The sale faces opposition from the Daughters of the Confederacy who want to keep a Confederate monument near the disputed area near the tree linked to Jefferson Davis. The case will be heard in June.
