A Philadelphia study at Hahnemann Medical College shows phenformin a non weight reducing antidiabetic drug helped obese adult diabetics lose weight. Georgina Faludi and team treated 37 patients. 28 lost an average 13.2 pounds, eight shed 18 pounds or more, versus 12 of 50 on sulfonylurea therapy who averaged 2.4 pounds. The researchers recommend phenformin hydrochloride for obese patients not losing weight on diet.

Florida State Series To Present Symphony
Tickets are on sale for two Atlanta Symphony concerts at Florida State University on April 28 and 3 in Westcott Auditorium. The Atlanta Symphony, formed in 1945, has risen to national prominence.
