Rose Festival set to unfold in Thomasville with parade and shows
The 52nd Rose Festival begins April 20 and runs through April 28 in Thomasville. Events include Miss Thomasville pageant, parades with 125 unit float line up, a country music show, softball tournaments, and the Rose Show at Southwestern State Hospital gym. VIP luncheon follows the parade with Gov. Carter and Lt. Gov. Maddox among expected attendees. The parade starts at First United Methodist Church and ends at the Farmer's Market, featuring bands from Robins AFB and Albany, plus a Navy drill team.
