Thomas County Primary Yields Wide Margins in Key Races

In Thomas County byes yesterday, most incumbents were re elected with large majorities and no runoffs. Sheriff Charlie M Dixon led a five candidate field with 453 more votes than his four opponents while former Sheriff Gordon FE Davis trailed with 750 votes.

Thomasville Election Table Shows Voters Count

The page four election table lists candidates and votes for second place. Lonnis Miller, a Boston area planter, placed third with 349 votes, closely followed by C. S. DeDnnard of Thomasville with 32 votes. J. N. Butler, a prominent Thomasville resident, finished fifth with 47 votes as Sheriff Dixon sponsors his four year record for endorsement.
