4 H Club Dressmaking Winners Named in Thomas County
Thomas County 4 H Club held a clothing contest awarding top dressmakers in Cloverleaf Junior and Senior groups. Louise Neston, Nancy Smith and Mary Jo Smith won each age category to represent the county at district achievement in Rock Eagle next June.

Men's Garden Club to Meet in April for Rose Show Plans
The April meeting of the Men's Garden Club will be held Thursday with supper at 7 p.m. at the Garden Center. Discussion of Rose Show plans is expected to occupy the attention of members and committee chairmen who will finalize arrangements for the showing. Miss Wallace Neel, president of the Thomasville Garden Club, Inc., and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Singletary, co chairmen of the Rose Show, will lead the program.
United Daughters Plan Memorial Day Observances
The John B. Gordon Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will meet at 4 pm at Mrs. C. P. Sims home to plan Memorial Day observances. The event coincides with Rose Show day and will include a report by Mrs. McCheaney H. Jeffries on the diplomacy of the Confederate States.

The program featured students and staff from Central School including Sandra INE, Barbara Speak er, Judy Johnson, and Mary Presley. The Sub-Deb Club of Thomasville High School hosts a spring dance themed April Love at the Thomasville YMCA. Central and Thomasville students are invited. music from the top 20 records and local talents will be featured. Mr and Miss Irresistible voting with four candidates from each school. Dance runs 8 30 p m to midnight, 50 cents per couple or 50 cents for a single.

Retired Nigerian Missionary to Speak at Mercer Meeting
Miss May Perry of Canton, a retired mission ary to Nigeria, will headline a district rally of the Mercer Baptist Association WMU at Dixie Baptist Church. She and Miss Doris Knight, also a Nigeria veteran, will be hosted by Miss Knight at Abeolut. The Queen honored Perry, who led a school there, and she was invited back for Independence Day celebrations. All churches are urged to send delegations.
