Mayence April 8 Complete order has been restored at Frankfort after authorities quieted students. The municipality posted bills urging calm as tensions ease and the situation stabilizes under local control.
Mayence reports indicate a mob gathered in Schiller Plaza as two hundred Moroccan soldiers faced German crowds. A rifle was fired when a officer separated from his unit and the mob surged, while other accounts describe violence but remain cautious.
