A violent tornado swept northern Albany causing one death and many injuries. Premier of Minstrelsy Alfred Field Dies in Columbus
Alfred G. Field aged 72 premier of minstrelsy died at his Columbus home from Bright's disease. Born in Osburg Virginia he trained in Brownsville Pennsylvania and later entered banking farming and theater in 1886 he formed a minstrel show that ran continuously.
