The Navy reports Allied forces bombed Palau basess hitting Agleat Yap and Walei. One Japanese warship sunk near Palau and two near Walei. Air losses were eight seaplanes, 11 bombers and eight torpedo bombers.
Mr W T Wells 65 died Monday night at Vereen hospital Moultrie after four months illness. A Crawford County native long of State City and Mitchel County resident, he is mourned by a wife Ide Johnson and seven children. Funeral held at old Ty Ty church with interment beside the adjacent cemetery. brothers and many relatives listed among survivors.
