Five Proposals For Farm Relief From Taber

Three men charged with the Bank of Chicamauga robbery on March 21 were arrested in Tennessee North Carolina and Massachusetts with about $4000 recovered from the $6670 stolen. Dave Baker was seized in Chattanooga with $1900, Lester Powell in Meridian with $1000, and Paul Ross in Gastonia with $1000. Baker confessed aiding the others after forcing a director and a bookkeeper to the floor and seizing vault cash before fleeing.

In Valdosta Georgia on March 31 two affidavits depict odd fishing events. D A Finley swore he caught a ten pound trout whose thawing carcass concealed a wood rat. Dave Plowden added a second tale describing a trout opened for dinner that yielded a water moccasin snake which escaped the fish and was killed in the kitchen.
